DG4 coating, known as Diamond Like Carbon, DLC, is a full body coating which guarantees a complete adherence to the material of the cutting tweezers. Carbon steel cutting tweezers become completely biocompatible and free from any possible particle release and metal contamination as there could be with other coatings. In everyday life all of us have already experienced static electricity and little "shocks", or electrostatic discharge, ESD. This static discharge can damage electronic components, attract contaminants in cleanroom environments or cause products to stick together. ESD safe tweezers equalize the differences in electrical potential between their user and the workpieces in a controlled manner. They will not prevent static discharge, but they will limit the peak current at which this occurs, which can be enough to save some components from destruction.
